پنج‌شنبه سی‌ام آوریل: امروز به طور جدی در مدرسه تهدید شدم. بری کنت کیف قفل‌دار ادرایم را پرت کرد توی زمین راگبی. مجبور شدم پیش از آینکه خودم را هم توی زمین بازی پرت کند به هر بدبختی بود دو پوند برایش دست و پا کنم. صلاح نیست از پدرم که این روزها به خاطر آن همه قبض‌های جورواجور دمغ و مایوس است تقاضای پول کنم.
